Synopsis

This uses discussion, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises to build competency in using basic features of Critical Path. Meta-Directory Server to configure a meta-directory system that flows data between various types data servers.

Audience

Members of a meta-directory system implementation team that are new to Critical Path™ Meta-Directory Server.

Pre-requisites

Experience of directory servers and of the LDAP protocol are strongly recommended.

Objectives

At the end of this course students should be able perform the following tasks:

Install Critical Path. Meta-Directory Server (MDS)
Create and configure a directory to operate with CP MDS
Create CP MDS rules to flow data between data servers
Initiate and manage CP MDS join processing
Troubleshoot configuration errors
Perform project analysis for a meta-directory project
Configure connections and data flow between the meta-directory and Oracle, Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory
Configure a Perl script connector
